Handyman Steve has been formed as a handyman and carpentry service by Steve Cloes.

Steve Cloes is a licensed general carpenter (Certificate of Qualification 403A219454) as of February 1989 and has been working in the home renovation and maintenance industry since 1984. Steve Cloes is a father, husband, and teacher. He is the sole employee and owner of the Handyman Steve Company.

Steve started his career in the residential construction industry as an apprentice for a small renovation company. The company, a sole proprietary business, gave him a solid foundation and well-rounded knowledge of many aspects of home construction. During his employment with this company he worked on multiple basement refinishes, built several barns, two houses, an office refurbishment and several home additions.

Steve then moved to a large contracting company where he finished his apprenticeship to become a certified general carpenter. This company worked in residential construction as well as light commercial industrial construction. As part of a larger team Steve work on whole home renovations, fire restorations, custom home construction, motel and apartment renovations, school additions, office and school remodelling. After several years Steve moved to maintenance services at the London Board of Education. This employment provided the opportunity to develop cabinet making skills and the installations of cabinetry on a larger scale. As a maintenance carpenter for the public school board he further developed his communication and organization skills as work orders for repairs were left to the tradesman to prioritize.

His passion to help others led him to yet another shift in careers, he became a teacher of woodworking and construction.
Steve is currently an occasional teacher for the Thames Valley District School Board.
His devotion to help people has led him to the Handyman service industry where he will balance family life and supply teaching with his new passion, providing you with the finest handyman service possible.
